I am Miguel Santos, an infrastructure and platform engineer. I spend most of my time around Kubernetes, AWS, ArgoCD, Karpenter, External Secrets, and the Grafana observability stack (Loki, Mimir, Grafana).

This blog is where I write up the things I figure out while operating these tools at scale, the kind of detail that is obvious in hindsight but hard to find when you need it. A lot of these posts start as an upstream contribution: I hit something confusing, read the source until I understand it, fix the docs or the code, and then write up what I learned.
